Frustration is your Friend on your English Learning Journey

Updated: Feb 11, 2022

Frustration, worry, concern, tiredness, anger, stress, impatience and the list goes on...

These are the feelings we have when we embark on a language learning journey, and then you have English that completely takes the biscuit, winds you up and leaves you pulling your hair out at the best of times.

When you feel frustrated when learning English, remember this: You’re being challenged because you’re doing something really difficult.

It takes courage, bravery, sheer determination & relentlessness to keep going, and when you do keep pushing, you finally make a BREAKTHROUGH.

But just remember that with all of these negative emotions comes a breakthrough, a breakthrough in pronunciation, a breakthrough in that grammar structure you kept working on for so long, a breakthrough in that long awaited promotion that you started improving your English for, a breakthrough in your resilience as a person and a more open mind with a sprinkle of new patience you never knew you had.

There will be a lot of frustration on this English learning journey but also

many, many breakthroughs,

So remember:

Frustration is your friend.

Keep at it!
