"The worst moments in your life can be the most transformational"
-Your Life Drive.
We all go through top-of-the-mountain moments where life is flying high like a kite and it's all good, great and keeps on giving.
But then there are moments where we find ourselves in the valleys of despair where our on-top-of-the-world feelings are in the distant past and are somewhat hard to remember at the worst of times.
I've been "lucky" enough to have gone through the forests in the valleys of doom, gloom and despair, especially when I was in my twenties. Life was very roller-coastery and I had gotten myself stuck in a bit of a rut. I felt like I had truly let myself and family down this time more than ever, especially after being quite a rebellious and trouble- seeking teenager.
It is deep down at our lowest of times where we can find personal and even physical transformation.
And it is from those lowest moments that we can learn so much about ourselves and we become our greatest and most resilient selves, more ready than ever before to combat future challenges.
My family and I learnt so much about ourselves from that experience, it brought us closer together as a family and we learnt that material things don't matter once our family was healthy and happy. We began to tell each other we loved each other for the first time, whereas before it was said far from frequently.
I grew into my strongest and most open-minded self, open and ready for the world once again and took as much as I could from that situation and found a good deal of my true self from it.
Like I said, I was "lucky" to have gone through that episode with my family as we wouldn't be the people we are today without having gone through it.
"Personal transformation can and does have global effects. As we go, so goes the world, for the world is us. The revolution that will save the world is ultimately a personal one"
